Impacts of Selected Agricultural Provisions of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”

FAPRI-MU Report #02-25: Changes in farm commodity programs and crop insurance included in the “One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) Act” will increase government outlays and farm income when compared to a simple extension of 2018 farm bill policies. The impacts differ considerably across sectors and regions of the country. This analysis compares a scenario with selected OBBB policies in place to a baseline prepared earlier this year that assumed a continuation of 2018 farm bill policies.
